The Secret of Atkins Diet

When it comes to the subject of weight loss, there are two methods you can use. They are low-carb and high-carb. But which one is best?

Since I was a young boy, I have always been a fan of one of my favorite diet plan. It was called the Atkins Diet, and it was a way to lose weight quickly without doing any work at all.

The Atkins Diet eliminates most of the traditional carbohydrates in your diet. This means that you will not be eating those sweet, fluffy French fries that come out of a can. You will not be eating any breads, cakes, pastries, cookies, and the like.

Why not just start from scratch and eat fruits and vegetables? The answer is that there are so many vegetables and fruit that can be added to your diet, that they are much healthier options to traditional carbs.

Low carb foods are great for weight loss because they are so high in fat. So they are going to cause you to lose more fat than you lose muscle.

Low-carb foods tend to be made up of relatively high protein and fat content. When you are on a low-carb diet, you can actually be getting all the necessary nutrients you need through the increased fat and protein intake. So, when you eat foods with high protein and low carbs you will not lose as much weight as if you were eating high carb foods with low fat.

But there is one problem with eating high protein foods with low carbs. It is going to be difficult to get your daily required servings of protein. You need about forty-eight grams per day in order to meet your daily protein needs.

The only way you can accomplish your weight loss program with Atkins is to eat meat, fish, and poultry with every meal. Eating a lot of steak and pork chops is a good way to go, but chicken and turkey may also be eaten.

You can get all your protein sources without putting on pounds by incorporating vegetables and fruits into your diet. All you need to do is make sure that you replace some high carbohydrate foods with vegetables and fruits, and you will find yourself much more satisfied.

Fish is an excellent source of fish oil and Omega 3 essential nutrients. It is good for your heart, your skin, and your hair.

Vegetables and fruits contain much less bad fats that are found in meats. These kinds of fats are needed by your body in order to keep your weight under control.
